Today I switched out the Long Comb NEW head I normally use on my Bull Mastiff for the head from my Gillette Khaki Set with serial number F391464.
From what I can find online this is a 1918 mfg razor and it has the thin cap rather than the thick cap like on my other Old Type. I don't know why but this head shaves much closer and more aggressively than the thicker cap variation and more along the lines of what I'm accustomed to with the NEW.
Anyone else notice the older production Old Types give a closer shave than the 1920's variation?
