I read where the Bones are finished with carnuba wax. How did you remove this before staining?

First smoke yesterday of my new Rattrays "2000 yrs Bog Oak" morta. Stoked with Peterson Sherlock Holms, also a first time.

2012 Dunhill Deluxe Navy Rolls in a Savinelli Series III with some English Breakfast Tea. Aging VaPers and VaBers have allowed me to really begin appreciating them in the short time I have been pipe smoking, just as much as I do English blends. English blends are just much easier to appreciate when the tobacco and the smoker is new versus the other two blend types which totally turn into something else when aged.
The 7 year old DNR was very smooth and absolutely wonderful tasting. Great smoke today!

. I don’t think it has any coating at all TBO. It very readily absorbs stain.
