@CaptainGreybeard , How is the Pitralon? I have the Czech version

Well, the official description reads like that:

Top note (= the fragrance notes released when applied to the skin and initial impressions of the fragrance):
Green notes, lemon, bergamot, tangerine, lavender and pineapple

Heart note (= the fragrance notes which create the identity of the fragrance and make it recognisable):
Sage, pepper, coriander, cyclamen, rose, lily of the valley, jasmine, orchid, iris and cloves

Base note (= he fragrance notes which support all the other fragrance ingredients and which remain longest on the skin):
Cedar wood, vetiver, patchouli, sandalwood, leather, oakmoss and musk

In reality, I'd rather say: Pitralon is citric, woody, a touch oily and with a good dose of menthol. It's cools and soothes the skin like no other after shave that I know.

SOD. This was taken this morning. Usually I shave at night but i had an early meeting.

Prep: Early Cardio, hot shower.
Shaving Cream: Proraso, very soothing eucalyptus coolness.
Brush: Opal original knot pure badger R400 ( I think).
Bowl: Walmart $2.50 porcelain.
Shaving oil/ balm: AOS lavander
Razor: Merkur Progress with polsilver super iridium. Derby blade on straight razor for beard edges.
Scent: Cartier Declarations.

Wednesday SOTD ::::: August 24, 2016

Pre-shave Oil: Maggard Razors Lavender
Soap: Little Tim’s Lavender
Brush: Wolf Whiskers Coffee & Cream Becky Shave Revolution Manchurian 24mm
Razor: Gillette New SC w/Common Bar Handle
Blade: Astra Superior Stainless (5) / Gillette Nacet Stainless (1)
Post Splash: Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel
Aftershave: So Sharp Ltd (PAA) Santalum Fumus
Post Shave Balm: Nivea Sensitive

Life expectancy of this Astra blade turned out to be 4 half-way through my first pass. The Nacet, which was new to me, was equal to the challenge and scythed the whiskers easily. The Little Tim's soap is a winner in my books, lathering easily and voluminously with cushion and slickness to spare. It's made by a barber in Georgetown, Texas. I'd also never used the Santalum Fumus before, but its mysterious, lingering fragrance (smoky Australian sandalwood, according to PAA) was impressive enough to make me want to dig out the matching soap.

I got moves like Jagger
ram57 , nice filter effect
DblD , nothing like an old school SE, is there?
Haymaco , The itty bitty tube of Proraso is sooooo cute
ronweston , I've seen the coffee & cream handles in a few pics over the past year or so, and every time, I am amazed at how beautiful they are.

And my pic-o-da-day selection goes to alfredus ! But where was this pic last week during SPECIAL EFFECTS week?

Have a GREAT NIGHT folks!
