I really don't like that too-silly name for it at all, but you definitely had skipped over what I call a "full" mustache (mine and Robert Goulet's were similar). Mine is mostly gray now, however.

I'm always surprised at what comes back in the current generation. Mutton chops are something I never thought I would see in my life time but If I start seeing the Dali that will beat all! The only beard I ever tried, and I emphasize TRIED, to grow was the goatee but if I burn my wedding photos I'll be able to deny it! I just don't have the hair to make a good beard.
BTW your Goatee and Van Dyke are reversed.
