How many different blades have you tried?
Feather ProfessionalHow many different blades have you tried?
Well I'm not you but, if I were that razor head would be in the mail to James by the afternoon and get a straight answer to what is happening with it. I'd also send a few blades you have mentioned that you've tried so he can experience exactly what you're experiencing. You do owe it to him to check out what is going on with the razor head now that you've gone this far putting the problem out there and if you don't give him a chance to correct it, if it infact has a defect, I think that's being a little dishonest to him...just my opinion!!Here's a picture without the blade installed, at this point it's normal.

Just FYI --
When I wrote to Feather about my AS-D2 not cutting as expected, they told me to send it in for inspection and they paid for shipping to and from Japan.
They said the head was per spec so it was really a user issue. So I had to take some time to learn how to use the razor correctly. What was the resulting conclusion?

Explain the above post to me and I will tell you.How could this happen?
Design or processing issues with WR4Explain the above post to me and I will tell you.
Great Post!I am puzzled at times by a frequent reaction here at B&B by a few who always seem to advocate for a seller rather than the buyer.
The buyer has no duty or obligation to go out of his way to correct a problem with equipment he purchased.
Particularly if that buyer lives in a place that is far from the seller and incurs excessive cost out of pocket to return an item that should have been correct to begin with.
The seller has a complete and undeniable obligation to provide goods that are free from defects.
It is not acceptable to intimate that someone is being dishonest, or unfair, or picky, or rude to report, ask about or display something they paid good money for that has a problem for them.
If people are honest and post facts here about problems they have with a product or a seller, they have full and unequivocal support.
I see no problem in him doing it either but I do have a problem with the non-communication and him not wanting to send it in to give the vendor a chance to either correct the problem or to point out whether its actually a problem or not!! The thread should probably be deleted because of the non-communication alone...I see no problem posting problems on forums as long as the OP keeps everyone updated and says if the problem was resolved.
He's already said, several times in fact, that he is very far from the vendor and sending it back would be prohibitively costly.I see no problem in him doing it either but I do have a problem with the non-communication and him not wanting to send it in to give the vendor a chance to either correct the problem or to point out whether its actually a problem or not!! Hey Phil, I'm sorry for what I posted as I hadn't actually seen him post that he wasn't sending it back... I know he mentioned he might not because he was kind of far away from Wolfman but as I said I hadn't seen him post an absolute. He's already said, several times in fact, that he is very far from the vendor and sending it back would be prohibitively costly.
Whether he ever posts again here is irrelevant to the issue that he wanted to know if others had seen this or experienced a similar situation. That's why he posted.
It has value because someone else may have a similar issue and be able to read this thread.
And since all the flack has already been expended on the OP, the new guy reading this won't have to deal with it.
To keep telling him to send it back when he has already said he isn't going to do that is kind of pointless.
No worries, either way. I guess I'm just one of those guys that feels bad for someone trying to get into something and having an issue, either real or imagined and stumbling through trying to find an answer. I try to make folks feel like they can ask the questions that to some might seem simple or dumb, but to someone new it might be near insurmountable to them.Hey Phil, I'm sorry for what I posted as I hadn't actually seen him post that he wasn't sending it back...
