It almost seems like a Captain's Choice copper bowl is a rite of passage here. If I didn't have a very nice lipped, ceramic bowl made by Stef Baxter, I'd have purchased one already. I think it will make a very nice Christmas present for me from one of our sons.

A slight change to technique with the TR-2 has brought lovely results.

Much less irritation and weeper free.

Very nice shave indeed.

It almost seems like a Captain's Choice copper bowl is a rite of passage here. If I didn't have a very nice lipped, ceramic bowl made by Stef Baxter, I'd have purchased one already. I think it will make a very nice Christmas present for me from one of our sons.

In fact, I just never use the Captain's Choice bowl when I'm home as I much prefer to use my Suribachi 7" bowl. I am using it this week to support that vendor. But as far as travelling bowl is, Captain's Choice Copper is BY FAR my number 1 choice (no pund intended). Reason is that it is indestructible and that shaving soap jar fit perfectly in the bowl to save some space as you can see by the picture below!

I have wanted one for a couple of years but they aren’t stocked in Canada yet. If shipping from the US to Canada wasn’t stupid expensive, I would own a copper and one of his other bowls. They look amazing and everyone loves them here. I haven’t heard a single bad thing about the Captain’s bowls.

Finally, whipped up the best lather out of this soap so far! Richly creamy and very slick! The scent is pleasant & light!
My best cheap non-adjustable DE! Today, paired with this surprisingly good blade gave me one of the best shaves! Based on initial use, I never thought this blade can go so far but it was unbelievably crisp, smooth, and efficient! 3passes without any issues, I get one of the best bbs finishes I've ever had in a long time! The aftershaves were just terrific!!!
