50th shave on this blade. Still felt plenty sharp paired with my RR Wunderbar. Got a great 2 pass BBS shave. Also, this brush/cream combo might be my new definition of luxury and excess in shaving.

Preshave: frigid tap water
Brush: Shavemac Synthetic
Soap: Stirling Soap ~ Gin & Tonic

Blade: BIC Platinum Chrome (3)
Post shave: frigid tap water, Nivea After Shave Fluid.

Three passes with a very sharp blade attached to the GS are certainly a challenge, however I justed wanted to see how far I can take it.

The blade feel was absolutely noticeable but not rough or harsh (again, mostly with steep handle postion with a slight lift), the blade glided smoothly and efficiently over my skin. It didn´t cause any nicks or irritation.

Overall, It´s been another excellent and close shave.

Two passes plus neck touch-ups required tonight to get to CCS face, SAS neck. Dura Steel performed well enough again: usable but not head of class for me. I could probably get at least one more use out of it, but I'm moving on to a new razor tomorrow and will start with a fresh Astra SP. Only minor feedback from the alum.

This was my first time using Haslinger, what a great little soap! Great cushion and superb slickness! Also able to create a ton of lather with very minimal loading. Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing that I waited this long to use this puck as there is still +9 months left on this sabbatical!

The razor stand is just a cheap flare brass nut for refrigeration that I found while rummaging in my local hardware store. I wanted the Karve brass stand but it's too expensive and I could get either 3 shave soaps or another razor for that price...
I found a suitable stand for the GEM razors too. Here's another look at the stand...I needed to add extra weight otherwise it will topple over...added some duct tape for a smooth and no damage entry.
