Rating: 10/10
Pre-Shave: Cold water splash - Pinaud Clubman Classic Barber Shave Cream (brushless - applied by hand)
Soap: TOBS St. James Cream
Brush: Maggards Synthetic
Razor: Karve Brass SB (Plate B)
Blade: Kai SS (2)
Post-Shave: Cold water splash - Thayers Lemon-scented Witch Hazel - Lucky Tiger aftershave tonic
AS: Lustray Coachman (For Pinaud Clubman Friday)

Another stellar result. The only thing I can say is...I think the C plate for this razor would be better than the B that I have...being a broken record here. But Kai SS seems to make up a bit for that. TOBS creams are wonderful performers. St. James smells very nice.

Happy Shaves, Everyone!

10.0 BBS An incredibly enjoyable shave! No stubble, nicks, or weepers. The Q-Shave scuttle yielded a nice warm lather through the entire shave. I owe Adam (Hannah’s Dad) a hearty thanks for his prior post on how much he like this product.

- Prep: Hot washcloth
- Brush: Simpson Beaufort B6 Pure
- Razor: Like Grandpa Grooming (Karve B plate)
- Blade: Gillette Nacet (2)
- Soap: Storybook - Visions and Revisions
- Aftershave: DG MOTI
- Post Shave: Thayers Rose, Hyaluronic Acid

Excellent shave. The Nacet is a perfect match for Karve/LG razors. I am running out of Storybook soap unfortunately. Amazing stuff.

New Simpson arrived today and it is a big, scrubby thing of beauty. Absolutely reeks though. Stinkiest Simpson I have ever purchased. It will go away after a few shaves in any case, but wow. 🤮

9.5/10 (-0.5 for the stank).

Relaxed and leisurely Friday morning shave. All equipment (and operator) cooperating. Two passes plus a third on the upper lip. Every time I use MWF I wonder why I keep buying other soaps, such a great performer. Feeling incredibly smooth. BBS

Happy for you. I just used the Feather ProGuard for the first time last month. I got a solid six shaves that were outstanding.

Thanks! I have never felt so silky smooth efficient shave before...awesome indeed. Only 6 shaves?? I am hoping for much more as this blade is very expensive...hahaha :D:D. I really enjoyed the shave though...dilemma indeed!

Brush: Semogue Owner's Club boar
Hope your shaves were fun today!

Hi, my last 3 shaves were a lot of fun because I was able to use the Feather Proguard. Such silky smooth efficient shaves...
I like to ask you about the Feather Pro blades...in comparison to the Proguard, if you used it before?
What's your max shaves per blade for the Feather Pro?

Thanks!

The 7th shave was a noticeable decline in smoothness for me. I could have pushed it farther. I was using Colonial Razors 'The General ' SE. original version.

Easy Rider Schick Banana
I know it’s not really called a Schick Banana, but it came from the era where yellow ruled and “banana” was the big buzzword.
Who knows, maybe this was the preferred razor of Peter Fonda or Dennis Hopper.
Anyway, it did give me a nice easy ride. A smooth BBS without any surprises. I took the first stroke, and the next thing you know, I was taking the last stroke.

Friday morning shave

Razor: Geo. Wostenholm & Sons
Brush: Boar
Soap: Portus Cale
Post: Clubman

Back from the dead. Didn’t think I’d ever have the opportunity to shave with this razor, extensive pitting near blade edge...like a toothy saw. Great shave today! Glad I didn’t give up. Happy Friday!
