OCtober 15th SOTD, 2020

Razor: Razorock SLOC-MFG 2018> Excellent daily driver ,lower mid range, excellent combo with KAI SS DE blade IMO.
Blade: KAI SS (8) Excellent blade with great longevity + Sharp & smooth- great for those mild razors because of wider width by .009" inch. Good to have a few tucks around for changing blade feel of certain razors.
Soap: Razorock Irish Country side- mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm black marble handle- my favorite brush for creating lather + cloud like soft tips.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pick ups. WTG + ATG +pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX nice fresh scent with witch hazel+ a small dollop of Nivea balm.
Results:CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR SLOC combo with KAI SS blade.

Today I went for a bowl lather, which gave me a very nice lather. The knot is wonderfully soft with just the right backbone. Great painter & splayer. IMO it's one of the best knot values in wet shaving. The lather was creamy and slick, and the Enoch was able to glide pretty nicely. It had much smoother action with the Pro than the Vector did, possibly due to the angle I had used with that razor. I'm left with a very smooth, comfortable shave today.

A fine shave.

I was considering adding a little more menthol to my ASL but I'm glad I didn't. I timed my post-shave chill today and it was eight minutes (nearly in Snake Bite territory). Choosing the 0.4g menthol crystal (to add to my ASL) yesterday was just pure luck. I simply looked at the crystals and chose one I liked the look/size of – highly technical. I'm now thinking about a slightly more advanced experiment... making my own ASL.

I love the slight burn of Proraso and this blade cut so well on its second use. Incredible! The soap is fantastic,

Terrible shave tonight. My neck is always a trouble spot and it's been red the last couple of shaves, but tonight brought weepers in the same area. Took some My Nik to get them stopped. I chalk it up to being on setting 8 and poor technique.
