Nice lather!

I took the opportunity and used my Tabac stick for a few days during the past weeks. Swmbo being out for work early made this more enjoyable, as I love how Tabac shaves, but she doesn't like the scent.

I finished a sample of Fine Fresh Vetiver and will work on a sample of Klar Klassik soap before I finish Goodfellas Savage croap. Less than 3 shaves left in the tub.

Hope you're all well

Probably not Al Bundy
Finished off the puck of Col Conk Lime this morning, I had used it a handful of times before I started the "collecting" phase so it wasn't a complete virgin puck, but as someone on here said it was indeed a quick hitter. Once I got down to business it only lasted about 2 weeks :eek2:

I know it's not considered a top tier soap but I had no issues with it and like the smell just fine. It was a stocking stuffer gift from several years back....

I was planning to move on to a puck of Williams if that one is a quick hitter as well, but I've seen some talk on here about how that stuff lasts forever and ever. Is this true? If so I may want to use something else in the stash next, I'm trying to get a few of the smaller, quicker ones out of the way as to build some momentum....

Here's a photo of the empty mug that held the recently departed Colonel along with the other implements used for this mornings shave

Williams lasts just over a month for me. I put a layer of water on top while showering and load aggressively. Another option is using it like a stick. You can certainly make it last months, though. It’s slickness allows you to get a good shave with a thin coat of lather, but I like a bit more substantial lather from Williams. I say do the Williams!

Now half as wise
Finished the Cade today. 190 shaves total. Since Feb 2018, I've been doing a modified 3017. I had started the Windsor at that time, and took a break in April to use a small slice of Irisch Moos. I realized I was really getting burned out on the 3 or 4 months it took me to finish a soap. Since then I've used a small group of soaps for 1 to 2 months at a time. Still gives me the advantages of the 3017 style, with just a little more variation. Since then I've finished the Windsor, the small slice of IM, tubes of Palmolive and Cremo menthol, grated Tabac stick, and the Cade. I'll go back to the Bayolea tomorrow. This had 110 shaves on it, and I'll probably get at least another 2 months, depending on when I need to grate it. I find that makes most soaps go faster. Will finish this mini 3017 with another 6 weeks or so of the Valobra soft soap. Already looking forward the next batch, which will include another slice of IM, Oxford and Cambridge, DRH Almond, AOS lemon tallow, and my last puck of QCS.

Mandated working from home has thrown off my schedule so I am not shaving every day, probably 4-5 times a week. Weirder still it has thrown off my dedication to this thread, I haven't looked at it for almost 2 weeks! Strange times indeed.

Plugging away on MWF and it is awesome. Started March 10 it has become my quarantine soap, which will end first?
