My first razor and my only expensive razor. After experimenting a while with cheaper ones and shavettes I gave this one another spin. Now that I have some honing and stropping experience under my belt and my shaving technique has improved I could give it a proper test. And my goodness what a shave. Smoothest I ever had, surpassing the shavette. Three months after I got it, I finally did it justice. With better technique I will be able to make it seem like I really don't have any facial hair.
Entire setup:
rinse face with cold water
white proraso preshave
golddachs shave puck and unknown brand badger brush
3 passes; with stropping between passes
alum block
again the white proraso preshave which I rinse of after a while
as an aftershave I use this: https://www.amanprana.eu/en/body-care/mens-shaving-oil/
This is my setup when I go all out. Smoothest I have ever been since I started having facial hair.
