47th shave with the GD Amare Soap. I enjoyed this soap. It performs nicely and smells great even to my sensory deprived nose! Today’s brush is the Maggards 28 mm syn. This was quite a change from the small Hoffritz brush I used yesterday. Today’s razor: my Wolfman. A nice, smooth shave. Have a great day.

Pre-shave: Cube mentholated soap
Shave cream: Edwin Jagger Aloe Vera
Bowl: Muhle
Brush: Baxter of California Badger hair
Razor: Muhle R41
Blade: Supershave x (2)
Post shave: Alum,Thayer's unscented witch hazel, Skin Bracer a/s splash and LEA a/s balm.

Result: DFS, no nicks or cuts.

P.S. absolutely loving the R41 :)

A Cooperstown joy ride. The annoying center diamond on the pre-war Coopers has one benefit, which is it serves to stabilize and facilitate alignment of an injector blade (Proline) in just the right way. Makes for mild but more efficient shave, think Schick I. As for the Kant-Rust Adjustable (aka Berkeley Adjustable, Doehler-Jarvis), it's performance is much improved with the Prismatic cap, Kai blade, quarter turn yields a nice balance of comfort and efficiency, half turn effective to clean up some tiny misses of the Schick Proline.

Shave with this excellent adjustable vintage razor @set 9 paired with this blade which I thought not so good turns out to be enjoyable, smooth, and comfortable in 3passes for a mostly bbs finish but with a micro weeper.
You could be right for most folks, This chart was used by Gillette salesman to explain the benefits of the adjustable razor to retail stores.
Fatboy chart for exposurre (2).jpg
Still003 Gillette slim set at 9 on dial=.007 to .008 inches.jpg

That is a lot of blade exposure IMO if shaving riding the bar or cap.
Have some great shaves!

Razor: Gillette old type 3pc with a Tech fat handle- Mfg 1920's, excellent mid range, well used and enjoyed according to wear by previous owners. One of Gillette's better razors in some ways IMO. Lots of blade tab on this razor model that was not really necessary.
Blade: Gillette silver blue :001_wub: - Excellent blade, sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Razorock what the puck orange, really nice citrus scent soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm 2band(finest)- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, great scrub + great lather painter, nice brush.
Pre shave: always enjoy this part of my routine, Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel + Nivea refreshing AS + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =:a17:excellent shave with my Gillette old type with a GSB blade.

Brush: Frank G4
Razor: OneBlade Core - Feather blade
Lather: RazoRock Lime
Aftershave: 1:1 mix of English Leather and Pinaud Citrus Musk

I used a bit too much water in my lather. It was less slick than is should have been. I’m still learning the OneBlade. It took 4 passes: W/X/A/X to get DFS+. The end result is just what I need on a cloudy Saturday morning

Pre-shave: Truefit & Hill
Shave cream: TOBS
Bowl:Crafts Fair purchase
Brush: Maison Lambert 100% Silvertip Badger, Faux Horn
Razor: ATT Windsor, SSR1, Satin/Matte
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Post shave: Jack Black

Result: DFS+, one of the best

Comments: This was the first time I had paired the GSB blade with my ATT Windsor. It was a phenomenal combination for me. It might have surpassed my other favorite combination of the Timeless .68SS with a Feather blade.
