Father's Day night shave:

First use ever of the DE87 my Pops gave me last year. I'm more a vintage guy, but paired it with a fresh Astra SP. Lathered up PdP 63 with an Omega PdP boar I've been working on breaking in. Jumped in the shower as always and soaped up my beard and dome, rinsed in hot water, applied Shave Secret pre-filter to my head and cleaned the rest of my self whilst marinating in steam. Rinsed again when done, filled my rinse bowls and ran my mirrors under the water. Killed the shower, grabbed the brush and started to head lather from the bowl, it was like watered down Williams WITHOUT the sickness! I pumped the brush, scraped the stainless bowl, all to no avail. So I got out, rinsed my Monster to wet it and loaded. Back in the shower.

2 pass BBS with no agitation.

I am unsure what the Hell happened with the Omega. But I'll keep hand lathering and drying it nightly. It's already getting good splits after just a few days....

Back to normal shaving with more common tools from the den. The Blue Tip went to work this morning loaded with a Gillette 7 O'Clock Yellow. The Canadian Der Hagen luxury soap was wiped into prodigious lather by the NGT Pure Badger. Finished up with Gentlemen's Pride ASB and Aqua Velva Ice Blue. I am BBS and smelling great. RazoRock Tuscan Oud today. 20 seconds to load the Elite Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Wilkinson Sword “Light Brigade” in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with RazoRock Tuscan Oud aftershave.
