SHARK WEEK 2023: July 11-18!!

Shark Week shave #7

Simpson Commodore 2 best
Heritage Hill The Patriot
'55 Red Tip
Shark SS 🦈🦈🦈
TOBS Eton College

I've had no problems with the Shark SS so far. Maybe it's because I've been "warming up" with several other Lord blades lately. Still, I realize a wild shark (or even a domesticated shark) may turn vicious at any time.

Last night’s opulent and stupendous shave
RazoRock JAWS 0.84 26/100
Shark Super Stainless (3)
Damp washcloth aka “shave binky”
AP ShaveCo Titanium UHD 28mm synthetic brush 100/100
Pre-shave: no
Lather: ARKO!, face-loaded/face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: hot shower
Post-shave: mentholated Equate moisturizer

Loaded the brush more, added more water, and was more careful until cleaning up the right hand side of my jawline. A few, teeny weepers that didn’t sting from the aftershave.98% comfortable, so yay! AP ShaveCo Beehive with 28mm ‘Titanium UHD’ knot used for one hundred of the last one hundred, one shaves has been a soft, lather producing source of luxurious pampering.

Despite the last two shaves, generally enjoying the JAWS/Shark combo for comfort even more than the chuckles.

Glad to read you’re not getting the worst of it, @luv2shave , and hope the wetter areas you mentioned are back to normal soon.

Haven’t posted the last few, but clearly I’m here so I’ve survived.
Today switched it up from JAWS to the great Whale Shark:
Ti 1.65 WR2 (it’s a wide mouth!)
Shark SS
Stirling Island Man
Very good shave. It is getting slightly duller not in a bad way yet because concentration can relax a little without the shark nipping at my corners.
Love this week.
Stay safe all but enjoy the waters.

Shark SS Blade#1 Shave #7
Tools: Colonel Conk "New Formula", EJ DE89 Razor & Plissoft brush.
A nice two pass shave this A.M. resulting in a DFS.:thumbup1:
The Shark SS is slowing down more but still usable.
Conk new formula soap dissipated faster than I could shave.:w00t:
I can't understand why Colonel Conk did not use testers before they put this soap in production.??

Synthetic Sundays!!!
7 Days in SHARK WEEK!
Still in GRUME & GRUYERE

Shave #4, swapped to my 1940s Superspeed

Wow, what an amazing shave! It wasn't the smoothest, the alum stung a bit after, but not terribly.
Smooth results all around my beard. Makes me want to finish off Shark Week with this razor.

‘Makes me want to finish off Shark week with this razor.’ Good goal!!

Make sure the Shark does not finish you off!’ :eek2::eek2::eek2:

‘..dissipated faster than I could shave.’ But you are the Fast Shaver!! And very brave during Shark Week!

two wrong soaps don't make a right soap, or any lather to speak of...

Richard's Rub badger blend for splashdown

It was a fine shave. You could lather up the Invisible Man with powdered TenStar MBC and/or Camamu Silken Goat's Milk and 5 seconds later he'd be invisible again.

Despite that, the super sharp kami knocked off the tops and the Shark in the Superslant went all Double Dutch on the remainder.

Weirdly effective. No blood, the Shark was too bemused to bite.

‘The Shark was too bemused to bite.’ WOW!! :ouch1::ouch1:

Pre-Shave: Proraso White
Lather: Truefitt & Hill Apsley
Aftershave: Seaforth! Heather Aftershave Toner

With now five shaves on it time is almost up for this Shark Platinum blade. I am going to try to roll past the finish line with it on Tuesday.

Shave 8:
Sunday July 16, 2023
I started Shark Week with a night shave at 1AM and 1PM shave on the 10th.
Today was another DFS. Both head and face. No blood with the Sharks and it was my most careless, not paying attention shave yet.

Decided to do the ShArKo it today!
Rubbed the stick into the base of the dry bowl, added a drizzle of water and a wet brush for a huge lather. Probably a bit too watery, but it worked great.

I've been a little lax in my postings. This is my 4th Shark Week shave. I'm on shave 2 of my second blade. I had to swap out the first blade early. It just wasn't working. The first blade was tuggy and inefficient from the get go. The second blade is still a bit tuggy but it's not missing any whiskers. I am getting a bit more alum feedback than I am used to, but today's shave was a solid 7/10 comfort wise. I'll use this blade again tomorrow!

Next year I'll ditch the Chromes for the SS or Platinums!
