I grew up with the zipper, and got my first button fly last year. As much fun as it is to rip open the buttons when it's bathroom time, it feels kinda weird loosening the belt and all that when I'm standing next to somebody else at a urinal.

Zipper. There is nothing worse than standing at a public urinal for an extra 30 seconds fiddling around buttoning your fly back up and re-buckling your belt.

All else being equal, I prefer button fly, but more of my pants have zippers.
