Yesterday, after posting here about the unexpected experience with alum, I spent a fair amount of time in the field and the wind reddened my skin some more. When I got back, my boss asked me what was wrong with my face.

I thumbed my stinging neck and said, "yeah, I forgot to sharpen my Leatherman after opening some boxes with it. I'll remember it tonight, for sure."

He blinked a couple of times and walked away, shaking his head.

Why? They already wonder about me, since I frequently bring either a sword or longbow to work. There is an archery range around the corner and the sword I practice with out on the lawn. Keep 'em guessing
