Ye Olde cut the piece of paper trick after you sharpened it trick. [it being anything]

Do you? Do you not? Do you think it proves anything?

I do it, not sure how scientific it is but tells me if some portions are not uniform (usually the tip).

Like all things, you get a feel for it.

Very good, as with all, when playing round in my Laboratorio downstairs [2 stairs] sharpening things from beater workshop knives that cut every thing from on this earth that could be non cut-able to butter fingers.
wood chisels that cut metal door strikers, I don't take no for an answer and its easier to just bash the frootloop in situ. I actually forget the 'thing' I sharpened, allegedly, and had a piece of paper right there at the time, I was surprised is all I say at present.
