With Ebay around, cartridges can be as cheap as DE

There are lots of reasons to like DE and prefer it to carts, but the usual reason given is price, and that does not always hold.

I see that you can get famous make Personna 2-blade carts to fit Atra and Trac ii for only 15 cents each (Personna Twin Pivot Plus -100 Blades (10 x 10 Pack ) | eBay).

A couple months ago, Nationwide Campus had similar Dorco carts for 6 cents each, but it was a short-term sale that ended.

I like DE and SE, but sometimes I want the speed and ease of a 15-cent Personna cart, not to mention plane travel.

I don't really believe many "save" money with traditional shaving, it is just an excuse we give the wifey.

Wet shaving saved me money for the 0.8 seconds it took me to think "It might save money", then after that it was all downhill... Then you start buying straights and hones and sourcing your own leather and Irish linen, bleaching and dying hessian, and before you know it you've saved your way to the "Artisan" section with a second mortgage.
