Winter vs summer soaps

i found this way works best fore my skin.

In winter:
Taylor of old bond street "Sandelwood"
Tabac "dont like the smell but gives a good shave"
Michells woolfat

In summer:
D.r. Harris "Arlington"
Geo F Trumper "Rose"
Loocitane"Cade"

The best thing is that i dont have to use aftershave balm.
I think in my case the way i rotate soaps in winter and summer
makes a big diffrents.

For me, there's really no seasonal difference with soaps. I tend to love the smells of sandalwood, rose, citrus, etc. year-round. However, when it comes to AS that's a different story. I prefer balms in Fall/Winter & splashes in Spring/Summer. And of course, whatever scent I put on for the day is somewhat seasonally-based.

Don't really have a specific "must use for winter or must use for spring/summer" but in some months more get used than others in my rotation.

winter- mwf gets used the most and c.o bigelow and sometimes my valobra SS


Spring/summer- Pens EF soap and BB cream, I Coloniali SC w/mango oil.

I usually limit use of my menthol or lime products to spring/summer and my shea butter products and MWF to fall/winter.

For me, Tabac is a "winter" soap also, and it's cousin Irisch Moos is the "summer" soap. In the D.R. Harris line, I like Marlborough for cooler months, and Arlington for the warmer ones.

MWF is pretty much a year 'rounder.

I love Proraso soap and splash during winter especially when you first walk out the front door in the cold!!!!

For me, Proraso and AOS lemon for summer, Kent (MWF) and Tabac for winter. Most everything else year round. Of course, all of them get occassional use year round.

Like Evbo, balms in winter, splashes in summer.

Well, now that it's nearing 80 degrees here in Dallas, the Trumpers Coconut is in the rotation. It is not the only soap that I use when it's warm, but that is really the only time of the year that I use it.

I like Cade, MWF and Tabac in winter, CF lime, Trumpers coconut, in summer. All year long I use Irisch Moos, Provance Sante, Pre de Provance, TOBS luxury shave stick.

Pretty much, anything with menthol in summer, the rest in spring/winter/autumn!

Dovo makes a very impressive soap IMO!

I use more creams than soaps but I understand what you are saying. When it is cold and dark outside, it makes more sense to me to have a warmer-scented shave than I would like in summer. Summer is the time for roses and limes IMO.

Interesting. CADE is a summery soap to me.
MWF - any season.
Menthol - summer only (if at all).

The almond scented Cella and P.160 are definitely winter soaps for me; I love those scents in winter but dislike them on warm or hot days. Palmolive and Arko are more spring and summer because of the freshness of their scents and besides that; Arko on a hot and sweaty day is about the best I can do!
