Just got the email. They are phasing them out.$39.99 while they last.
They said the Merica outsells the Winning Razor, which seems unlikely.
They are lowering the price on the Merica razor to $70 which seems strange if it is their best seller.
I bet they have to lower the price to $70 to go head to head with the Razor Rock razors.
I suspect $20 wasn't enough of a difference to customers. I seem to remember this was a price point razor and it looks the part! They said the Merica outsells the Winning Razor, which seems unlikely.

There is no need to know why. Don't worry. We are all in the same madhouse. No brainer? My second TWR, a backup (why I do not know) on the way.
Just throwing in a theory:
They're made by Yates. Could it be that Yates wont be making them anymore?
Considering his up and coming "build your own razor" program, maybe they're gonna concentrate on their own sales.
And selling the Yates razors direct for $135+ has to be more profitable than making $50 (selling price) razors for someone else.
Just a thought!
