Will the real Regent Tech please stand up.

I see on B&B’s database there is something there that looks like a Senator, with this note:

( Notes of Interest: The razor is also identical to the Regent Tech with the only difference being the packaging. )

On Mr-rasor’s web site, for a 1940 Regent Tech I see a beautiful unnotched (Aristocrat looking) razor with the early style handle and no end caps.

I find myself hoping that mr-razor is right, for it is his listing, I find more appealing to the eye.

Mr. Razor posted in a thread about this very thing.

sorry about the mindless error earlier. wrong thread, and wrong member ID with razor in it.

this thread is 1 year old and I think I was wrong. Today I believe the Senator and Regent Tech are different razors and the picture in the Krumholz book is wrong. The first razors with solid guard comb are all called "***-Tech" like "Milord-Tech", "Milady-Tech", "Ranger-Tech", "Aristocrat-Tech". So I think the Regent Tech has a solid guard comb too and it´s the Aristocrat without endcaps like the picture on my site.

Thank you for the clarification!
I was under the impression that the general consensus was that the regent tech encompassed a few different razors in different cases while gillette used up old stock.
The idea that the Krumholz book is wrong makes more sense. Both because of the 'tech' thing, and also because a senator is clearly a senator with nothing cobbled together at all.
