How many shaves do you typically get out of a Wilkinson Bonded razor cart? How do you like these razors?
I love the Wilkinson Bonded razor. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I believe it was the very first cartridge razor in the early 1970s. The cartridge houses a single blade and it is, of course, a Wilkinson blade. The quality is similar to the other highly regarded Wilkinson DE blades from that era. I can easily get 10-12 shaves from one cartridge. The handle is lightweight but feels good in the hand. The head is set at an angle that is similar to an injector razor. The cartridge is wider than a DE or injector so the blade covers a wider swath than what we are used to. But still, it is easy to maneuver around the hard-to-shave areas.

Thank you. I picked up a handle and some blades and I was just wondering what to expect as far as longevity. I had heard they were very good shavers. 
I'm always seeing replacement cartridges for these popping up on the Bay. They seem pretty affordable still, considering.

I had a very good shave with it. The only issue was that I could feel one corner of the blade biting a little bit, but not drawing blood. I felt it with my fingers afterwards and it seemed the blade stuck out just a bit on the left side. It slid over just fine back into position using a fingernail to push it over.
Pick one up if you find one cheap. It's a nice change of pace and would make a nice light travel razor.

I've gotten six great shaves so far out of the first cart with no signs of slowing down. I'll report when I either get bored or the cart craps out.
I've got one of these in the collection but I haven't gotten around to using it yet. I'm looking for more cartridges before giving it a try as I don't want to use the small number I have.

8 shaves and still going fine. It's taking will power, with the PILS, Feather Stainless, Cobra, R106, PAL adjustable, and Schick type O sitting there waiting their turn, mocking me.
It's like that GEICO commercial where the stack of money is just looking at you with the googly eyes and the bad synthesized 80's music.

The bonded razor does shave very nicely though. Nothing at all like a twin cart. More like a very easy to use, sharp and smooth disposable SE. Injector-like, almost.
