The early 58 does have an interesting base plate.
I am pretty sure the toggle came before what we refer to as the fatboy.

I hope Achim will forgive me for copying his words, but after reading it, I made this copy:
My ranking of rare Adjustables looks like this:
1) 5 position bottom dial FatBoy (195)
2) 5 position Gold Toggle
3) 9 position bottom dial FatBoy (195)
4) "Chrome" Toggle
5) Red Dot FatBoy
6) 9 position Gold Toggle
But that is only my opinion. I don´t know how many pieces are made of these Adjustables.

Thank You... that is what I was looking for...so 85$ for the red dot even without the case was a steal...!
I had talked to the seller when he first put it up.
The $85 one had paint issues, the red dot was gone and the numbers had lost some black.
But even with that $85 is not a bad price I would say.

I wanted to pull the trigger on the other lot...figured I could just re-list the rest, but you know who would have had a fit...
The one in the lot looked like it had some brassing, but the paint looked very nice.

Useless word. Nobody enters that into search because everybody thinks their razor is rare and you get flooded with common junk. He didn't say red dot and he didn't say D1, and he didn't say safety.
Using the 55 characters allowed for an eBay title, he could have said:
RED DOT Fatboy Gillette Adjustable Safety Razor D1 1958
