Who Got the Double Ring Tonight?

It was listed yesterday so the seller probably cancelled the auction. Sometimes unsavory characters message the seller and say "I'll give you $50 for your razor" and the seller cancels/sells to them because they don't know what it's worth.

There is a history to that razor and I believe the seller has been guilty of some underhanded acts in the past to do with it. I believe the usual guys who would go after it are steering clear.

You are correct. This is the DR the seller first listed at $2,000. He had it listed with a BIN of $250 for the last two weeks with no takers. Looks like he finally came around to reason.

Maybe they will realist, seller just doesn't know what they have feed backs good and they haven't dealt with a lot of razors I think.
Last word from me on this because were on the BST site but maybe someone will get a nice double someday.

*Looks at BST for it to show up

Hope it was a B&B brother and also hope they got a deal!

EDIT: SOrry mods - I posted in the wrong forum:blushing:

when I saw this dirty old thing I almost could smell it with my eyes. It stank but they grew large .
So I contacted the man with this little question :

Dear cf14567xy,

''Do you still have the razor ? I missed your auction .''
-----------------------------------------------------------
Dear Sir,

''Yes What would you offer? I can ship tomorrow
morning.''

Thanks

Dear cf14567xy,

''Had I bid on this razor I would have bin lucky enough to have
gotten it for your modest and fair starting bid of .99 cents . Your
shipping price is $7.00 , so I'll match that , at $7.00 for the
razor too . I hope will both be lucky , and I can clean it .''
Regards

Dear Sir ,

''The razor was only on for 15 minutes. I canceled the
listing. You would have not won it for .99cents. The
razor is worth $300.''

- cf14567xy

So what could he do to me ?

At times like this you have to shrug and say , I'm almost glad because the stamp would probably have been worth a million dollars .

I'm curious why he canceled the auction after only 15 minutes -- did he not think that people would bid? Does he not understand how auctions work?

He has done this twice now. Not sure what his game is really. Maybe trying to draw attention to the item then re-list with a higher BIN price??

Not sure that it is close in quality to the two that have recently sold for less than his last BIN price. Will be interesting to see what happens, the envelope and stamp are VERY valuable in his eyes.

I also contacted him about it and made a decent offer for it and he just replied with an "I dont think so". Not even a counter offer or explanation. He probably used ebay to get an aproximate value for it.

This guy makes me sad.
Not angry, but sad.
Just jerking people around, canceling sales and whatnot.
He must be lonely. At least he has his double ring to keep him company, since he's not interested in selling it. :tongue_sm

I can see getting a value like that on the B/S/T, but the way to use eBay to get the market value for something is...*gasp*...an auction! If nobody's going to BIN for his price, then maybe it's not worth his price...he seems as attached to his "$300" razor as people are to their "million dollar" houses from the boom.
