What's new

White scuff on black Park Ave.

This is why I can't have nice things.

So I'm often reluctant to wear my AE shoes because I don't want things like this to happen, but I decided to wear them today. A half hour into my day and I notice that I managed to scuff them on something white. There is only a small abrasion on the leather, the rest seems to be "paint" transfer of some sort.

There are some old scuff threads on here but was wondering if there are any other opinions on a fix. Finding a cobbler isn't easy these days. I have Renovatuer, and black AE wax and cream polish. Is it worth a shot? Or am I just going to make it worse? is it worth going across the street to Nordstrom at lunch to let the shoe shine guy take a shot?

Why not? I don't see the downside. Plus I have found that Nordstrom's has superlative customer service. Is that where you bought them?
