I have two of Tony's strops, both horsehides. One is the slick horsehide (veg tanned) and the other is the notovan (chrome excel tanned). You can't go wrong with any of them, and Tony is a true gentleman.
I prefer the draw of the Notovan (gives great feedback), but as pointed out the end result is about the same.

I hope. I have a fast bridle and am drooling for a slower draw and a faster draw, maybe a shell cordovan if he gets them back. Sorry for the necro post lol.
