The ordering period for the Glencairn scotch glasses will be ending soon ... so ... what scotch (or ... gasp!! ... other beverage) will you be using for your FIRST SIP from these great glasses?

Lagavulin!

(oh, don't forget to actually ORDER your glasses ... :blushing:)

Oh boy... um... one of the two I just picked up most likely: either the Bruchladdich Links (K Club 14) or Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban. Most likely the 'Laddy.

I have a bottle of Aberfeldy 12 patiently waiting for the arrival of the glass. There's a squirrel on the bottle. That's close enough to a badger for my tastes.

White Horse Distillery Lagavulin. Gift from a friend and can't think of a better one to christen the new Glencairns with.

I've selected other...

SWMBO will probably have Adberg but I might have Jack Daniel's or Courvoisier, unsure for now.

Well, you know I'm a Bourbon man... My last Scotch was the Glenlivet 12, which I enjoyed. Nothing big on the iodine or strong medicinal notes.

Have you tried any Highland Parks?

I'm going to break it in with some top shelf wine.

Isn't that usually served in brown paper bags?

I voted Highland Park, but I need to qualify that. I'll be drinking 15 year single cask I picked up last month. I may not even have a choice since my Lagavulin is almost empty and my shaving supplies AD has eaten up pretty much all other discretionary spending.
