Which Open-Comb Next?

I am loving using my Feather AS-D1 with an iKon open-comb baseplate. I am also loving using the open-comb side of my iKon OSS. Not only do open-comb razors look like real razors ;-) , but they seem a bit smoother on my face than my straight-bar DE razors.

I'd like to get another open-comb DE razor. Which one next? I like smooth and mild, not rough and aggressive. I also like manly and substantial.

The Merkur 1904 looks interesting, but I do not like pot metal, and the handle is too small and light. The Tradere looks like a possibility, but it may be too aggressive for me. Same for the Joris. (The Joris is also too light.) I want a three-piece razor so I can replace the handle with something large and heavy.

Any recommendations? Perhaps an old Gillette with a replacement handle from Spain?

I started off with a merkur safety bar razor. I used it exclusively for a year and it didn't fall apart or rust up despite the hard water in my area, in fact it survived a fall down to the ground floor from my upstairs landing. The 1904 has a reputation for being a mild and smooth shaver it's a 3 peace so you may be able to put a heavier handle on it. Alex has been compiling a list of which heads work with bulldog handles so you drop him a line to see if he has any information regarding the 1904
