Which Jermyn Street soap?

Hi all,

I am planning a trip to London for a day, most of which will probably be taken up by a meander along Jermyn Street. Of course I'll be visiting all of the stores, but I plan on purchasing one, or maybe two, pucks of shaving soap. The question is: which ones? I enjoy TOBS but find them to be nothing special. That leaves me with Floris, Harris, Trumpers, Charles Tyrwhitt and Czech and Speake. Does anyone have any special recommendations to make, or any companies I may have overlooked?

Thanks

Make sure to grab a puck of Arlington, Marlborough, or Windsor from D.R. Harris. As to which one, let your nose make the call. I'm a Windsor man, myself.

If I had the chance, I would definitely visit D.R. Harris so that I could sniff the Arlington, Marlborough and Windsor to see what they really smell like. The samples I have had were wanting in scent, so I really couldn't decide. (Already have lavender and almond.) Of those you mention, I would avoid Trumper soaps and C&S soaps.

Get a puck of Floris and a puck of D.R. Harris in the scent that you enjoy the most. I would probably choose Arlington from D.R. Harris and No. 89 from Floris.

Avoid Trumper's Lime. I would say make sure you check out Floris and C&S. The others can be found pretty easily on BST or online vendors, sometimes at a considerable savings. Are you interested in the SUPER cheap Palmolive stick? There is a Superdrug very close by on Old Bond Street that stocks them for 75p.
