Where to Buy Semogue Brushes?

I'm in the USA. I'm looking for a place to buy some Semogue brushes other than West Coast Shaving. I want them in badger and WCS only has one badger model.

I would also be happy to find some handles shaped like the Semogue handles to put some TGN knots in. I don't know why I need so many brushes... It's kind of embarrassing. They are kind of fun to collect.

Thanks

+1 to Vintage Scent. I've bought a few Semogues from them and been very pleased with price, product, service and delivery.

Vintage Scent will definitely have the most selection. I think he carries pretty much every brush Semogue makes.

Vintage scent has the best selection and is an excellent vendor. I have purchases several brushes from him and would not hesitate to do so again.

Regards,

Doug

VintageScent for me too. All my Semogue brushes have come from them - great selection, great prices, and friendly and efficient service.

(No connection other than... and all that stuff)

Vintagescent.com has the best prices IMHO. It will just take a little bit longer to get it in your mailbox.

Thats only partially correct. Vintage Scent only mails it Registered Mail which you must be present at time of delivery to sign for. If you miss it or your mailman is just lazy, it will sit at the Post Office until you can go stand in line and pick it up. Trust me, dealing with this right now. Not a criticism of Vintage Scent, but of the shipping process. But they are the goto dealer as they have personal ties to the company.

Another great option not mentioned is Italian Barber. Joe carries quite a few as well as tons of other great stuff including being the home of Razorock. $60 spent gets you free shipping to the US from Canada!

VintageScent usually has best price and I'm pretty sure has by far the best selection.

Bullgoose also carries them.

ItalianBarber sounds like a good choice if you want to get some of the Italian soaps Bullgoose can't carry (I recall he had to drop vitos because it lost money due to high shipping costs to him) along with your brush.

Hey SteveWms, or others. I don't know where you live, but keep this in mind when shopping around. If you live in CA and order from a CA vendor, such as Bullgoose and WCS, you have to pay sales tax as well. It really sucks, and sucks for the vendors too because the ones I mentioned at least are great! If you have choices and are trying to find the best price, keep it in mind.

I have been eyeing a Semogue 830. How does everyone store their semogue? Will it fit in my current stand for my brush and razor?

Keep an eye on the B/S/T also. I've seen quite a few over the past week. Actually picked up a SOC 2 band the other day from there. Good luck on your hunt.

That's not quite legally true. The merchant is required to collect sales tax if they have a presence in the state where they are shipping the product--the famous "nexus" test from the Quill case. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quill_Corp._v._North_Dakota

This is obviously the case if you live in California and buy from West Coast Shaving, Royal Shave etc. States usually require you to pay "use tax" on items you purchase from out of state, there is just not an easy way for the state to collect it when the merchant is outside your state of residence. Many states now have small sections of their personal income tax returns where you can declare how much you bought out of state and pay use tax on it.

Amazon exploited this for a long time by having distribution centers in sparsely populated states near larger ones but they appear to have finally given up the fight to focus on getting products to people faster. This may get more regulated if Congress chooses to act.
