Just curious if anyone knows when the first GEM blades were manufactured. I'm wondering when manufacturers discontinued making wedge blades for the new style GEM type blades. Thanks in advance.

I don't think anyone is alive who knows the answer. You might write to the American Safety Razor Company and inquire. You might search for ancient magazine advertisements on ebay or elsewhere on the internet.

Thank you very much for your reply. Time to do some digging.
Not sure, but my guess would be 1912 same as the Damaskeene razor. Could be a little earlier though.
