What's Your Smoothest DE Razor?

I'm looking for a smooth razor. that's not too mild. Could be solid bar or open comb. Vintage or modern. What's your smoothest that still gives a reasonably close shave?

My 1976 Ball Handled, aluminum Tech gives good shaves with less chance of nicks and razor burn. It seems to be able to give good, painless shaves with just about any blade I throw in it.
+1 to Alex on the Toggle. My Fat Boy isn't a toggle but, for me, a 3 or 4 setting gives nice shaves. I like the way my Fat Boy shaves a little more then my Slim.

Here is a photo of a mid 70's Tech from ItsAllGravy's gallery:

Out of the few razors I've used, my '58 Superspeed Flare Tip seems to be middle-of-the-road on aggressiveness. More to the point, I feel like it should have been named the Supersmooth Flare Tip. with a Feather in there it's amazingly and perhaps even surprisingly nice AND effective.

I have recently cultivated a relationship with a '49 Aristocrat Jr. It weighs 71 grams so to me has a solid feel in the hand and on the face. While it is not considered an aggressive razor it yields a very close yet comfortable shave.

From my collection:

I would have to say ikon OSS (dual head) and my Joris OC, next would be Edwin Jagger "Chatsworth" with DE89 FB head, also on the list would be my Mergress XL with FB head. Last but not least Merkur Futur.

Schick Krona. Very mild but quite capable of providing a BBS if I want it. And they're still pretty cheap on eBay.

I have the one with the metal TTO knob and no writing on the doors. There are other versions that may or may not shave similarly.

Feather AS-D1.

Perhaps it will be too mild for you, but it works superbly for me. I doubt any DE razor is smoother, even with a Feather blade.

Hmm...maybe I'll rephrase my OP - these razors are too aggressive for me - but thanks for your feedback.

I used to think the 39C was aggressive too. Until I tried one. They only look aggressive. My 39C is by far my smoothest razor. You should try one if you haven't already. Might be pleasantly surprised as I was...
