That looks like a very good knot. I’ve noticed that knots with a few curly bristles on the outer edges seem to be excellent. The 1990s era Simpsons often had that appearance and they are outstanding.
Today’s brush for me is a Rooney 3/1 in finest. This brush proves that high lofts work if the brush has some backbone.
