What’s with the cardboard in Fatboy cases?

Just an observation I’ve had about some fatboy cases. In the back slot sometimes I’ve seen a piece of cardboard and it can even be seen on some examples online. Is this from some piece from the original wrapper? Don’t see enough NOS examples to know.

I've looked and can't figure out what you mean. Do you have a pic we could see to help?
All I can figure is that you're talking about the folded up instructions included with the razor.

Interesting. I have several cased Fatboys and none of them have that. The white insert comes out and goes in quite easily, so I can't imagine why it would be there except for the possibility that these were sold originally on a "card" with several razors attached, that would sit on a sellers countertop. The flaps went into that slot to hold them in place, and sellers or buyers in a rush may have ripped the cardboard in the presentation board while taking a razor off of the display.
I've seen those display boards frequently, but I can't seem to find a pic right now.
I'll keep looking.
