Unless you're going to sell it on ebay for some seriously ridiculous price...
Use it, use it, use it. You have a very sought after piece of shaving history in enviable condition. Way cool. We only go around once. If you have a love of DE and wet shaving then...love it and enjoy it!
If you don’t want to use it, I’d be happy to make a trade with you. Seriously, it’s one of my most efficient razors. That being said… use it. I doubt that you would be disappointed.
I use my Dad's, replated, and it's a great memory to think I'm using something he picked up and used almost every morning of his adult life, probably with more skill than me. Same reason I keep his railroad Waltham wound and on time every day. It's the way we keep in touch....
Use it and go from there. Razors like to be used, just take care of it and it will perform for you. Setting 7 is the sweet spot for my (E4) 1959 model. Enjoy!
I’ve tried to use all of my vintage razors because as far as I know, they’ve all been used prior to ending up in my care. In fact, it’s all been a part of my shaving journey. The only ones I haven’t used are the ones I have not had the opportunity to find.
And that’s a short list.
