Omega 10066 and a Parker chrome silvertip, depending on how long my trip is. Neither have any sentimental value but are very serviceable. Not a lot of tears shed if the airline loses them. Just put them in the plastic cases they come in for shape and protection. No troubles, no bubbles

I've been using a turnback Omega 50014. It's very small and not a favorite but gets the job done. I like it because it fits nicely in a large bill bottle with my Gillette Tech and a blade. Honestly though, you can throw any brush into your travel kit.

My most recent travel brush is a Muhle synthetic 23mm brush. It dries fast and feels great on the face and neck.

The leader in the clubhouse is the new Kent Silvertex. I'm still not 100% sold on it, though. It is better than the Tweezerman I had planned to use for travel.

Rudy Vey beehive handle with 24mm TGN two band fan finest. It's a fantastic brush for everyday use but I have so many others, I reserve this one for travel. If in the unlikely event something should happen to it, I can absorb the loss without taking a big hit on the cost.

Kent Silvertex -- Relatively inexpensive (well under US$20, delivered), dries faster than my boar brushes, and I don't worry about packing it away wet.

Not a dragon-slayer brush, but works quite well.

Almost afraid to admit but I use a VDH Luxury Badger mainly because I have not found a reliable way to transport a brush without incurring damage. In addition, there have been many times that I have been tempted to "lose/misplace" it so I would have a reason to get a higher quality brush.

Mike H. - Thanks for the toothpick holder suggestion! I will definitely look into that.

I have a Whipped Dog 16 mm knot set in a handle I turned myself using a turning blank from Exotic Blanks. It is a beautiful combination. I made my own handle to have a little more loft than the one used by Whipped Dog and a handle that is smaller around and a bit taller.

This brush works wonderfully to mug lather with a specially selected base to provide a bit of depth with lid from the Col Conk travel container.

I travel a lot and alternate between the custom brush and the standard Whipped Dog 16 mm brush.

I bought one of those recently. It is my third attempt at a synthetic brush I can live with. So far, I am disappointed with it. Does it fan out or soften at all with use? I have the HIS brush, a FS synthetic, and this Kent. All of them seem stiff, like paintbrushes. The tips are soft, but these brushes have too much backbone, even the Kent. I was hoping to find the ideal travel brush, as I am about to embark on a long, cross-sountry trip. I may end up settling on a small badger brush. I like my Simpson Special. But, I am concerned about it not drying fast enough.

Im Currently Waiting on the Da Vinci/UOMO travel shaving brush. 100% pure silver tip badger hair hand-bound in retractable metal sleeve.

If this Brush has Bristles as good as my Da Vinci 293 it will be me New Travel Brush :w00t:

I've only used it 3-4 times and I think it has gotten a little bit better. But I just don't think these really fan out, at all. I will use it a couple more times to see if I keep it, put it in the PIF box or list it on B/S/T.

I've had my eye on this one, and may have to pull the trigger on it before my next trip. But I hate spending that kind of dough on something I will use so rarely. My main finest badger brush, which I LOVE, only cost about $35. I did notice the Da Vinci is much more expensive on Amazon that it is straight from ProMakeupBrush.com.
