What's the deal with Erasmic?

I'm confused. Apparently Erasmic changed the formula in some of their products at some point not to long ago. I get conflicting reports as to which ones were changed. Was it the soap(tub), soap stick, cream, all or some of those?

According to the Superlather site, the soap has not been changed, but the stick and cream were. Yet, a lot of people rave about the cream. Is that only the old version of the cream, or is the new version as good?

I'd like to try Erasmic, either the soap (tub) or the cream. If there is anybody out there who has tried both of the currently available versions, or can otherwise help me sort this out and make a recommendation, I'd appreciate it.

I bought the tube of of Erasmic cream within the last month. Whether it is old, or new, I do not know. What can tell you it came in a metal tube & is an outstanding product. It is my favorite so far, so I hope it hasn't changed.

the old style Erasmic cream. It came in a metal-looking tube. That's good stuff. It' still available through some vendors. At least one vendor thinks it's been discontinued, but there's some difference of opinion. Maybe some overseas members can tell us whether this product is readily available in stores in the UK/Europe.

I know that Erasmic has new creams in modern sort of packaging. Whether it's similar in quality, performance, etc., I'm not sure. Most of their market is in Europe - maybe someone can chime in.

I also have a couple of the old Erasmic shave sticks. These contain tallow and are fantastic - the performance is excellent but the scent is nothing special. Overall, an excellent product. These were reformulated a while back to an all-vegetable formulation. The consensus is that the reformulated stick was disappointing. Both of these were in a black cardboard box type of packaging.

I know that they have a cool-looking shave stick in modern packaging. My understanding is that it's similar (the same?) to the reformulated vegetable-based shave stick.

I have one of their reformulated shave sticks, and find it very hard, although just possible, to get a decent lather with it. No experience with the older versions.

The old version sticks are great! I made sure to stockpile several before they were all gone. Haven't tried the new sticks so I can't comment but nothing I've heard about them has been good.
