Tweedcab had a few of these for sale, I bought one because I thought they might work well to house some straights in my drawer. I'm not sure what kind of wood they are made out of, but I couldn't imagine it not being "nice". I figured it was worth a shot.
Turns out that this particular mold has slotted spaces that are absolutely the perfect length for a straight razor. They also have a small slit on one end that is the perfect size to hold the tang. With a little velvet, some leather, some cork sheeting, and a glue gun, It was a nice one-hour project that I think turned out well.
I have a few razors that Mike R (lax1mxr) is working on that I can't wait to get back. They will fill a good 7 of those slots nicely .
