Yesterday was the short 1911...Mexican carry.
Today was the little Cobra while lopping down some saplings growing in the flower beds that are getting out of hand...in case of sneaky snakes in the overgrowth.

Today the S&W Shield 2.0 45acp in my Privateer OWB holster.
Still gentle breaking in the holster and the draw is still too tight. But slow goes it and slow is far less likely to make it too loose.

Clearing out a lot...and I mean A LOT...of dried leaves from under the carport that has been there since last fall, so it was the .44 Spl. Boomer stoked with three round of #9 shot for any cottonmouths, copperheads, rattlers, etc. and two rounds of 200 gr. solids for any feral hogs or the vicious, man killing 'possums we have around here.

I like that it appears to be a very thin and flat pistol.
It is as you say it appears. One of the reasons I like it for those occasions nor requiring a lot of "consideration".

It conceals quite well with a good gun belt and good holster. I'm not sure why anyone would carry anything other than this if they are serious about self-defense. Self-defense is not about taste or style. It's about going BOOM, reliably, every single time you pull that trigger, and projectiles hitting down range where you mean them to hit
