What to expect from a Yaqi Final Cut Razor

It’s a great razor. A little on the aggressive side, but overall one of my favorites. I wish they’d make a Ti version with more durability than their zamac version.

I just posted about changing out the factory compression spring for a more robust 10x0.8x15mm replacement.

While I think this will improve certain things about the Yaqi TFC and Ultima, I had fine shaves from both of those razors before putting the new springs in a short while ago. So it shouldn't be necessary in most cases.

Every once in awhile someone asks for advice on their first or their next DE razor purchase. I've been pretty consistent lately in recommending the TFC. From a price standpoint, especially during an Aliexpress sales event, these are the best bargains in wet shaving, I do believe.

It is pretty blade forward and efficient even at lowest gap setting. I personally am just not into adjustables and find the handle rather short. But most people don't like their handles as long as I do.

It is a new acquisition for me too and has been my primary razor for a month now. All sorts of blades work well in it. I haven't gone past setting 4 since the lower notches still shave well for me.

I got the chrome finish model but there's also a gunmetal version floating around that looks nice to me.

They are really good, and work well for a wide range of blade types or shaving preferences. At the price, you can't really go wrong.

I really like their Mellon SLOC in zamak, so am very keen to get the open comb version of the Final Cut.
