What T&H cream should I get?

I recently found a local supplier of Truefit & Hill. They appear to have the full line of soaps and creams. For a newbie to their stuff, what scent do you recommend? I am also leaning towards cream versus soap as in general I prefer creams although I've changed my mind on that several times. Would there be a compelling reason to get soap instead in this line?

See if the store sells the sampler pack. If not, you can find it in their online website. It is totally worth the money and you get to try out every scent.

lavender smelled divine to me at my local pharmacy that carries it. also west indian limes if you like limes, raved about here but I'm not a lime guy but it does smell nice. also the rose is a nice calmin smell but I love lavender. And Trafger or something was a nice sandalwood offshoot that I loved - great natural smell with the sandalwoood. mmmmm. damn now I'm definitely buying one. but which.....

If you just want to try the amazing performance of T&H creams but you're not sure about scents, go with the Ultimate Comfort. It's unscented and one of my favorite creams.

Surprisingly, I'm going to recommend the T&H Rose Shaving cream.... I have owned the sample packs 4 times over having purchased 4 high end Simpson brushes from T&H...they ship a multitude of shaving cream samples with each brush purchases....AND...the Rose was a huge standout.

def try the sampler packs

my favorites are the Rose, sandalwood and tonight I used the Almond. great performance, but the scent wasn't quite 'almondy' enough for me I like the Cyral Salters' scent better tho they have similar performance - easy to lather quickly, and good cushion/glide.

both are keepers.

Another vote for the T&H sample pack here. 9 creams and 4 asb for under $9 shipped (with BB12 discount code) is a great way to test them all out. Even someone like me who overuses product can get 2 shaves out of each pack. I started using mine yesterday and was quite impressed with the performance of the sandalwood cream. I'm looking forward to trying the rest of the scents.

I've tried their sampler pack and find the performance pretty consistent across the line. The one I found to be superior was the ultimate comfort - which I purchased full size.

I'm nearly finished working through a T&H sample pack as well and this is how I rank them by scent:

Trafalgar
1805
West Indian Limes
Grafton
Sandalwood
Lavender (usually love lavender but this smelled like baby powder to me)
Almond (this is the only one I'd rank as unpleasant)
Rose (simply because I'm waiting until tonight to try it!)

But as for comfort, I was REALLY impressed with the "Ultimate" stuff for sensitive skin.

I'm not a fan of T&H cream. Not due to performance but scent. For me, 1805 is their best. I don't care for their West Indian Lime. Castle Forbes is the only lime cream I like.

In their creams I recommend two very fine ones. Rose and Ultimate Comfort(this has a mild lavender type scent and makes great lather. So does the Rose).

My top 3 favorites are: Grafton, Trafalgar, 1805 (in that order of scent preference).

they are all great performing creams though.

If you can pick the tubs up in the shop, why don't you just open them and take a whiff, then buy the one you like the most.

My favs:
1. Ultimate Comfort
2. Rose
3. Trafalgar

Dislikes because of scent:
1. 1805 - should be a nice marine scent, but some flower note in it makes me sick, really sick :thumbdown
2. Sandalwood - I expected to get the old TF&H Sandalwood, but got a cologne mess of anything BUT sandalwood. TF&H needs negative remarks for ruining a fine sandalwood scented cream :thumbdown
