Gold Dollar shave with an experimental edge.
800 grit sandpaper, Ti paste on jute, finished on Herolds red paste on leather.
I had a backup razor ready. You can't always rely on micrscope images.
I was quite surprised.
This felt like a manufactured blade.
Yesterday I had a jnat edge on the same razor.
There was only a subtle difference. I prefer a natural edge, but this worked out well.

Same MK3 as yesterday, I had honed it and finished on translucent ark which was very nice as usual but I decided to do a light Thuringian retouch and it was *very* nice.

I took @Frank Shaves advice from a few weeks ago and toned down the too sharp 12k edge with lots of light laps on a coticule. All the harshness is gone but still nice and sharp

Superb shave from this razor! Refreshed on the HBA and stropped on the roo leather, the edge was soft buttery smoothness all the way...

I think people would be split in their opinion of what edge they would prefer, if they would notice a difference. I know what i prefer.

I had to regroup mid shave. Started ok with the Gold Monkey, finished fabulously with the 66. I am at 1/3 or the shift down, 14 shaves to go and I am back on sold ground. Happy Thursday.
