My new Feather Artist Club AG and a pack of blades. The build quality is superior and the feel and heft are just right. Now if I can learn to use it- old dog and new tricks you see.

Is that a non-folding straight razor. It looks a bit like a steak knife. How futuristic. Enjoy!

Yes that is indeed Monty. No one could chew scenery like him and it is after all a Christmas movie. Happy Solstice to all!
That's a great razor. I have the same one, it is the DX though, but they give a very nice shave. Just take your time with it. Start on the easy parts of your face, and be sure to keep the blade flat to your face and use no pressure at all. Just allow your technique to develop, and don't expect very good shaves at first. 
I'm not a fan of the guarded blades either. I find the regular pro and the super pro be give a better shave, but that's me and that's IMHO. Give them a shot though, and if you don't like them you can always get some of the others and get rid of the guarded ones on B/S/T.
