Q1 1964 (J-1) Gillette Slim (dialed up to 8)
Vidyut Super-Max Blue Diamond (3rd shave, 1st in this razor)
This is the first Blue Diamond blade I've tried, and the first two shaves with it were in a Merkur 34C. My opinion of it during those two shaves was 'meh'. It just wasn't sharp enough to meet my expectations of a good shave. But this morning's shave was just further confirmation that a 'meh' blade really shines in the Slim dialed up to 8. My preferred (sharper) blades can get pretty ferocious in that razor, but today's shave was great.
For what it's worth, my dad was born in '52, and this was his first razor. He used it into the 1990s, when he switched to carts. I received it from him in exchange for some work around their house I did a few years ago.

No nicks; No irritation; Very close; Very smooth; Pleasant DFS+ shave; Blade is ready for recycling.
