Razorock GC 76

I had a GC 68 that I found to be too mild, I then found an EFBT that shaved like a dream but as is always the case with this hobby I saw there was a GC 76, it arrived today and this is how I found my first shave with it.

I used a Gillette Minora blade and Palmolive cream, face lathered.

The 76 has more blade feel than the 68 but not overly aggressive, the shave was nice and easy but after using a very light EFBT I did apply too much pressure causing slight irritation, 3 passes later a near BBS shave.

I found the 76 gave a similar shave result as the EFBT I will miss it, there is something about using a vintage razor.

Lupo vs. Game Changer is a tricky comparison in my opinion, end results and shave experience were quite similar for me. The Lupo (.72OC and/or .95SB) felt just a little bit smoother and more efficient than the GC .84 for me, but the Lupo also has more blade feel which I think makes the GC .84 feel like more comfortable for me. Normally you'd expect more efficient razors to be less smooth, but somehow the Lupo is just a little bit more of both. Shave results are nearly identical for me, with the GC .84 having only slightly less irritation post shave. I prefer my GC .84SB over both the Lupo .72OC and .95SB, but not by much. The Lupo is slightly more efficient, more smoother, but less comfortable due to the added blade feel.

If you have and really like your Game Changer, I don't think I'd recommend also trying the Lupo. The Lupo is awesome but it didn't bring anything that I wasn't already getting from the Game Changer in my case. A lot of people mentioned liking the Lupo's more nimble head better than the Game Changer, but I head shave so this was less of a factor for me.

I mean really, at 54 bucks how can not have a G.C. I have the full line of both the G.C. & Lupo. Great shave options with quality (& huge value)all the way through for both models but as always it comes down to personal preference.
I even have the BBS A & AS.
Great underdogs.
We won't even get into there slants.

$54 US is around £42, I paid £82 and still think its a great deal, i found it quite hard to find one in the UK.

The 68 I had was good the 76 is great , just aggressive enough.

The shave I had yesterday was very good, will be even better when I apply less pressure.

I have a 76 and 1.02 base plate and can say that the 76 is quite comfortable in use! Efficiency is higher than a Henson mild for sure, but still leaves a bit to be desired after a couple of days of growth.
