I find this razor a whole lot more efficient for me, even at 5, than the longer handled version. Since they are both the same heads and there's nothing wrong with the other one, the only explanation is that the shorter handle allows me to find the right shaving angle much easier. I do find this one significantly better balanced, for my taste.

Preshave: Cereve Hydrating Facial Cleanser
Brush: na
Lather: Van der Hagen Shave Butter
Aftershave: Cold water rinse;
Coming into this evening shave there was precious little stubble.
No nicks; No irritation; Very Close; Very Smooth; Very pleasant DFS++ shave. Very soft post shave feel.

Today I had a random mix. 
Razor: FATBOY
Brush: Omega Boar Brush
Pre shave: Proraso Green….halfway ran out and switched to ToBS.
Shaving Soap: Proraso Green
Alum block
Aftershave: clubman pinaud
After powder (head shave): clubman pinaud
I was putting the Silver Blue to the test. Shave number 3 over six days, and both were face and head. Tugging started halfway through first pass. Switched to new Silver Blue and continued.
1st pass:WtG (3), 2nd AtG(5), 3rd ACtG(7)
BBS on face…..head not so much.
The head was were I used the ToBS pre shave. If you’ve never used it, it’s great but it feels like coating your head in corn syrup, it’s that thick. A ton of nicks all over the head. So it’s going to be Proraso Pre Shave for the head from now on.
Too many variables that I could never exactly repeat.
I’d say a 5/10
