What Kind of DE Blades Are These?

I bought a gold DE blade case and some old DE blades came with it. Anyone have any idea what they are?

Interesting looking.

Various brands of used blades from the early 20th century.

I'd dispose of them. You could frame them on a white board if you think they're cool.

There's not very many blades I know of that are collectible in that condition.

Razor blades are like stamps.

You can be a mile wide and an inch deep or an inch wide and a mile deep.

Some people know a lot about the broader subject and can tell you why each blade is punched in the shape it is. Others can tell you, ad nauseam, about the brand or logo on one in particular.

What kind of input would you like exactly?

Basically when razors changed and patents expired tons of companies tried to make blades to fit almost any razor made. Others made proprietary blades to only fit their razor. Some companies made various items and threw their brand name on blades too so people would see it and, hopefully be reminded daily. Just for advertising.

The evolution of the shape and punch out of the blades is interesting. I don't know much about the various brands.

Basically people owned a razor and a lot of companies tried to make a tiny bit of profit by making a blade for it.
