Loose Artist Club blades?

Can we buy Artist Club razors loose rather than in a cartridge?

Since I now only use my Hawk for my Artist Club blades, I no longer inject blades and I have no need for the plastic injector cartridge.

I'd really like to buy these lovely blades loose, in paper, like our DE blades.

I've looked around and I think the answer is that I have to buy them in the plastic injector cartridge. But if anyone knows otherwise, please let me know.

Loose AC blades do not exist. All AC blades come in cartridges. Companies like Buy A Blade who used to sell them loose were just taking them out of the dispenser and repackaging.

Thanks. Yeah, I thought that was likely the answer. Fair enough, their business model is to sell AC razors.

Unless they were less expensive (likely not), what would be the advantage? More compact storage (maybe, if they come in a box), but then you need a blade bank. Stored loose, you've got tiny blades sloshing around in a drawer, or a bag, or your shaving cabinet.

Every AC or Injector blade I have seen was originally packaged in a dispenser.

If you want an eco friendly shavette blade, take a look at A77 blades from Cloud or Xirui (Rhinoceros). They perform really well, are packaged in paper, have two edges so you can flip them over and use them a second time, and they are made with thinner steel so use less resources.

Where do you find these blades? I have searched several ways on the ‘nets and best I could find was a Victor’s of a Cloud Shavette with a box of Cloud blades from B&B…

They are normally only sold in China, so I get them from Chinese resellers on Ali Express. They also require an A77 shavette, but those are inexpensive like the blades.

I see. I thought they might be another type of AC blade. I will stick to the AC system for now. At least the Schick blade package is mostly metal.
The other good shavette blade is hair shaper, like the Weck shavettes use. Those are normally in paper, too, but they have a spine and more metal than a77.

Those Schick AC blades are good ones.
