What is this Razor? ...Good luck.

I'm sorry for the sizes but I wanted you to see anything you needed to. This is all of the information I have. Nothing is printed/etched into the razor, the only hint is a mark on the bottom of the case.

If you're wondering, I didn't buy it, my aunt found it at a flea market and bought it for a buck. She also picked up a Gem Jr. in the case with plastic wrap still on the blades for $3. So if this is crap, she still did ok.

There are many, many of these travel razors around. Some made by Merkur (or a derivative) some by Gillette under distributorship, some by small manufacturers.
There seems to be a large number of them from Germany for some reason. Perhaps they were very popular sellers there.
Asylum Guido has posted some very informative threads about the travel razors, I'll see if I can find a link to one of those threads.
In any case, that's a steal for the price. It's a beautiful example.

No worries. That logo on the case has to mean something, but I have not found anything yet.

Here is a link to one of the threads where Guido discussed some of the travel razors, but these are all in the square metal cases.

Logo is Sellier & Bellot, a Czech ammunition (and probably many other things military) manufacturer. Probably the same brass composition as their cartridge cases.

I bought one off Ebay, listed as Swiss. Found out better when the razor arrived. Decent shave, one side is definitely more aggrressive than the other.

Edit: Note, I sent them an email with a few photos of the razor asking if they can give me any details. I'll let you know what I find out and if I can get any info from Sellier-Belloit, I'll put it in the Wiki.
