What's new

What have I bought?

Looks like two Gillette Slims to me. Good start and good price. They should clean up well, you got them for about 1/2 off.

You have two Slim Adjustable razors (one in a possibly appropriate white/gold case and the other in a 1940's red Super Speed case).

Of the two brushes, the black/butterscotch is probably worthy of a restore, not so sure of the white/red.

The price you paid is outstanding.

Thanks Dr Roadrash, ras120 and celestino for your quick responses.
I look forward to seeing them in the flesh and hopefully a clean and polish with Maas or Flitz will make them look nice.
I have been wanting a Gillette Slim for a while now and with RAD in one day I have two!!! OMG....
Yes, the black and butterscotch might be my first restore. I have been given a 20mm TGN Best Badger knot which was intended for an Ever-Ready handle. Just might be the correct size.

+1 Nicely Scored!

If the seller had listed the razors separately and in a better category for a vintage item they each would have sold for at least what you paid for the both of them! They look good and should clean up rather nicely! Nice score!

You have two 1960's Slim Adjustable razors, one in it's proper case (with the gold backing) and one not. The red case is actually made for an English Rocket. Unfortunately, neither of the two razors pictured are Rockets. But you got them at a great price. Congrats!
